Rugby: a busy weekend for the lions and valkyries

It's a big weekend ahead for rugby in Rouen for both men and women. First the men this Friday January 13 (hoping it brings luck) at the Diochon stadium for an important match against promoted Angoulême. Then the next day, Saturday the 14th, the Valkyries will face Dax at the Mermoz stadium.

Already the 17th day of Pro D2

On the lawn of the Diochon stadium this Friday, Rouen Normandie Rugby faces promoted Soyaux-Angoulême. A meeting which, if not decisive, promises to weigh very heavily in the race to remain in Pro D2. Because for some time Rouen has been looking down again... And the Charentais, penultimate in the ranking, are fighting to get out of this danger zone.

The meeting risks being complicated for our Lions because in addition to being down on results, they are deprived of their captain Mathieu Bonnot, currently injured. Manager Nicolas Godignon's men have only won one match in the last 7 days, it is more than urgent to get back in the right direction to maintain the 7 point lead over the evening's opponent.

This match promises a beautiful evening under the Norman weather which we hope will be mild. Don't hesitate to take your seats for this clash of titans of Pro D2.

Friday January 13 at 19:30 p.m. at the Robert Diochon Stadium – €10, €14, €25 and €30 for the different places.

10th day of Elite 2F

Great display also from the Valkyries, the women's team from Rouen. Our players will have to do battle this weekend against Dax hot on their heels to secure a place in the Top 4, synonymous with qualification for the play-offs.

The Normans are on time to achieve their objective of participating in the final phase. In the event of victory, our Valkyries could well take the 3rd step of the podium instead of Perpignan.

Saturday January 14 at 20 p.m. at Stade Mermoz – Entrance: Food donations for the benefit of Restos du coeur.
