Notice to all history and military reenactment enthusiasts, the weekend of May 6 to 8, 2023 is an event not to be missed! The Château du Taillis in Duclair (Seine-Maritime) will host, for the 17th time since 2005, an exceptional event: a reconstruction of the Second World War.
During these three days, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the era thanks to the presence of 400 reconstructions and nearly a hundred authentic vehicles. Scenes of daily life, demonstrations of military techniques and exhibitions will be offered in the castle park. But that's not all, the program is rich in activities to satisfy all desires.
Many activities are planned to entertain visitors: a large parade of vehicles will take place on Saturday in the area, allowing spectators to admire the most beautiful military vehicles. On Sunday, a battle reenactment will be presented, offering an immersive and emotional experience. On Monday, participants will parade on foot in front of the crowd to commemorate May 8, 1945. Visits to the August 44 Museum's private collection “Hell on the Seine” will also be offered. The camps will be full of interactive workshops, exhibitions of scale models and photos. Visitors will even be able to purchase souvenirs, books and equipment.
And when it comes to eating, don’t worry! Fast food will be available on site so that visitors can fully enjoy their day without worrying about their stomach.
