When pastrami drops off in Rouen!

Since last December, passers-by on rue Cauchoise have had the chance to enjoy sandwiches, let's say... unlike any other. Indeed, the specialty of Romy's, this is pastrami: a method of preparing meat for a smoked, spicy, and very tasty result. A gastronomy originating from Romania, which traveled to the United States during the wave of emigration of the 20th century before ending up settling in our beloved Rouen, to the great pleasure of its hungry city dwellers in search of new flavors.

Pastrami, oh yes it’s life!

On the menu: smoked or peppered turkey, goose, pressed or bone-in veal, mortadella, beef, dry sausage and so on. Full of deliciously cooked and finely cut meats in carpaccio mode for a most appetizing presentation. Then, you have to “add the stuff”, salads, coleslaw (cabbage), onions, pickles (gherkins), dried tomatoes, eggplants… no limit to the toppings, only fresh products and which vary according to arrivals. Finally, you have to “send the sauce” and again there is something for everyone: herb mayonnaise, honey mustard, tehina, so many unusual flavors.

No worries, Romy's has already selected and composed the best for you, on the menu, 5 authentic recipes (New York, Boston, Harlem, Manhattan or the Californian), prepared VERY generously and well nestled in a delicious brioche bread (plain, with onions or olives) before being toasted. Once hot, your sandwich is finally ready to be devoured.

For just 2 euros extra, it will be served to you with a succulent side dish of your choice: cauliflower, sweet potatoes, new potatoes, or grilled eggplant. To be enjoyed to take away or on site in a very cozy space upstairs. And if you have a crush on one of their products, know that they are also available for sale by the cut. How not to go crazy?
