No lights for the Christmas market this year?

The Rouen Christmas Market will be held as every year on the square in front of the cathedral, from Wednesday 23 November to Sunday December 25, 2022. An emblematic event in the city of a hundred bell towers and an unmissable event, this is THE moment not to be missed.

Christmas on weekends only in Le Havre 

The Le Havre Christmas market, also renowned for its activities, will be immersed in the spirit on weekends only. Indeed, during the week the lights will be turned off and will only be turned on from Friday evening. The lighting of buildings such as monuments and works in public spaces will be stopped, except for churches on All Saints' Day and Christmas. 

A curfew in Caen

The municipality of Caen has announced that it will not reduce its lighting but will simply set up lighting schedules. The municipality has decided to turn them off from 23 p.m. every evening.

Rouen under discussion

In Rouen no decision has been taken. The measure considered would be the reduction of the ignition time. 

Despite the measures that could be taken, tourism should not be impacted.
