The new municipal swimming pool in Déville-lès-Rouen will open its doors on Saturday October 22, 2022.
A swimming pool dedicated to swimming lessons
After two years of work, we can finally inaugurate the opening of a brand new swimming pool located in Déville-lès-Rouen! The Mayor of the town, Dominique Gambier, then specifies that this swimming pool is particularly dedicated to learning to swim as well as health sports through swimming. Swimming lessons will be provided for children aged 7 to 15. Obviously, on the program: aquagym and aquabike for more fun!
What name for this new swimming pool?
This municipal swimming pool will be located rue Jules-Ferry, not far from City Hall, and will bear the name of Christine Caron, in homage to the French swimmer who was 29 times French champion and first female standard bearer of the delegation French at the 1968 Olympic Games
How many pools?
A swimming pool with a 25 meter sports pool, with four water lines, 1,20 to 1,80 meters deep. A second health activity pool of 120 square meters with a depth of 0,90 to 1,20 meters equipped with hydro-massage jets, bubble plates and a counter-current swimming device. As well as a fun paddling pool of 30 square meters.
Registration for activities must be done directly at the swimming pool reception.
