After a complicated season in pro B and compulsory relegation, Rouen Métropole Basket bounced back and regained confidence in national 1. Last weekend again ended with a very good victory with a 38-point difference against Hyères-Toulon.
An 11th victory in a row
The start of the season for our Norman Leopards is more than successful, 11 victories in a row is more than significant. The team is confident this year with a young and dynamic collective.
A New Coach
This new act is also punctuated by the arrival of a new coach, Sylvain Delorme is now at the head of the team. He's not just anyone, his career in the world of French basketball is already quite complete, a player in Pro A and Pro B, he has known several teams like Cholet Basket or Angers BC before moving to the coaching first with the young people then over time with the seniors. He even won many titles like last year with Angers in national 1!
Benoit Injaï, top scorer of the last match
Hard-hitting and skilled at shooting, young Benoit Injaï made a good start to the match before finishing as the game's top scorer with 18 points scored.
Towards a champion title?
The team is now on track to win a national championship title 1. We hope to be able to continue to vibrate with the Leopards and regain our place in Pro B next season.
Next meetings
The RMB must now concentrate on the next meeting which will take place in Le Havre on Tuesday, before returning next Friday to the Kindarena to face the only team which has beaten the RMB this season, Pont-de-Chéruy.
