Welcome to the “Sport Point”! Each month, we will take stock of the different teams that represent Rouen in important championships. The Rouen Dragons, Rouen Normandie Rugby, Rouen Métropole Basket, Rouen Huskies, Rouen Handball, Rouen Leopards and Quevilly Rouen Métropole.
This month, we are going to take stock of 4 teams, Handball, Basketball, Hockey and Rugby.
Handball
As for our Women's Handball team playing in national 1, the season is going rather well, they are currently 3rd in their Group behind Brest and Octeville sur mer (9 matches played, 7 victories and 2 defeats). Last victory 6 days ago against Harnes Handball Club, 36 – 32. For the men's team in national 2, it is more complicated, 5ᵉ in Pool 2, (10 matches played, 6 wins, 2 draws , 2 defeats). Last victory 44-26 against HB Agglomération Roissy Pays de France 95.

Excellent start to the season for Rouen Métropole Basket, they are first in Pool B ahead of Mulhouse and Caen. They are on track to win a championship title. 15 matches played, 13 wins for 2 losses. The last match was won 63-53 against SOPCC Pont-de-Chéruy.

Hockey
No need to draw a picture of the Rouen Dragons, they are the top level of French hockey! After a great season without a title last year, they are back on Lacroix Island to shake up the Magnus League (French Division 1 Championship). Every year the first place is disputed between the Dragons and the Bruleurs de Loups de Grenoble who currently occupy the first place and us the second. We hope that this great team will go for a 17th title!
Upcoming home matches (Lacroix Island Ice Rink):
December 20, 2022 20:00 a.m.
December 17, 2022 20:00 a.m.
January 06, 2023 20:00 p.m.
Rugby
After a promising start to the season our Lions are running out of steam a little. Today in the middle of the table, in 10th place (14 matches played, 7 wins, 7 losses), they are in difficulty against big teams, but manage to get their heads above water against less efficient teams . The title of Pro D2 champion still seems far away for our Rugby team. The best option now is to aim for maintenance.
The next home match (Stade Robert Diochon):
December 16, 2022 19:30 a.m.
