The health pass: the start of the return to normal life?

The health pass

From June 9, 2021, the French will be able to obtain the health pass to gradually return to normal life. The goal is still to minimize the risk of infection. Not all activities related to daily life require this pass. In addition, it is not obligatory for fun or sporting activities. This includes workplaces, supermarkets, public services, restaurants and cinemas.

On the other hand, to participate in events that welcome more than 1 people, you will need to bring one. Indeed, certain activities present a greater risk to health such as: theaters, sporting or cultural events, festivals, fairs and exhibitions.

The “health pass” in France corresponds to the “digital green certificate” or “European Covid-19 certificate” proposed by the European Commission in March 2021. In France, you can present 3 different documents depending on the needs; Certificate of vaccination against Covid, proof of a negative PCR or antigen test or a certificate of recovery.

Unlike vaccination passports, the health pass will not disadvantage people who do not wish to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. In short, the vaccination passport only mentions the dose administered, while the health pass lists the tests carried out. The government has declared that this pass is only necessary if the health risks are greater due to a large mixing of the public. It will therefore apply to events bringing together more than 1 people, while respecting the restriction standard (000 people from June 5 to 000).
