On Wednesday June 5, from 17 p.m. to 19 p.m., the Great Pagaille, an unmissable event for the Armada, will precede the arrival of the first sailboats. It will start these 10 days of festivities on the Seine, at quays 106 and 107, facing the Panorama XXL, in hilarity. Spectators will witness the confrontation of UFOs, Unidentified Floating Objects, crews formed by local companies and associations. It will be possible to observe the spectacle from both banks of the Seine or from the Guillaume Le Conquérant bridge.

UFOs and giggles 

Having become an Armada tradition, the Great Pagaille sees crews embark on an epic crossing of the Seine from one quay to another. The boats are entirely designed and manufactured by the crews.

The public is always numerous to encourage the crews trying to brave the current of the Seine and reach the other bank. The music will be provided by the Rouen health fanfare association “La Vashfol”. For the winners, the prize ceremony will take place at platform 107.

22 crews for crazy boats

During a preparatory meeting on March 6 in Rouen, Patrice Madillac, manager of the Grande Pagaille, invited representatives of the 22 registered groups: Ballin, Erea F. Dolto, Scouts Marin Rouen, Department 9.M., Community of the Agglomeration of Abbeville, Esigelec Rouen, CE Thales, Saunier, Lelong, Community Volley Ball, SOS P'tits Terrien, IDEFHI Canteleu, YC Rouen, Foselev, MJC Grieu, Oissel Transports, Boulanger, Campus Chrétien Santé, Firmin, Scouts Guides Bihorel, Hinault, La Chataigneraie.

A fun event under water safety :

The twenty boats will be accompanied by 10 safety boats. At high tide, at 18 p.m., the release of floating devices will take place at 19 p.m., at the Jean Ango water passage, left bank. The water body will be policed ​​by the port police launch. Other users of the waterway are invited to navigate slowly and carefully, and to keep to the right bank when arriving at the event.

Useful information : To get there, lines T1, T2 or T3 to Mont-Riboudet Station.
The OFNIs are moored from 14 p.m. near platforms 16 and 17, left bank. The launching of the UFOs takes place at 17 p.m., between the Guillaume Le Conquérant bridge and hangar 106.
