Since its opening in December 2022, the Au Flameron restaurant has become the ideal place for lovers of new culinary experiences. Anaïs and Takahiro, the passionate owners, aim to offer authentic cuisine based on local products.
The chef, who worked in a French restaurant in Tokyo before coming to France, uses his experience and technique to create tasty and original dishes. His passion for French gastronomy is reflected in each of his creations, where he enhances the flavors of the ingredients used thanks to his Japanese technique. Takahiro wants to bring out the taste of food to offer an unforgettable culinary experience to his customers.
Au Flameron offers a varied menu that changes regularly depending on the seasons and the availability of local products. Each dish is presented with care and elegance for the greatest pleasure of the eyes and taste buds. Diners will also be able to enjoy a selection of quality wines to accompany their meal.
In short, for a unique culinary experience combining French gastronomy and Japanese technique, Au Flameron is the address to absolutely discover in Rouen.
The name of this restaurant is simply the Japanese first name of Hélio, the owners' son, which is written with the kanji for the phoenix. The latter comes from the symbolism of the heron in mythology. To recall the flamboyant side of the phoenix, the owners decided to add the word “flame” to the heron, thus giving birth to the name “Flaméron”. It is therefore a tribute to their son and to the strong symbolism of the phoenix, while evoking the strength and beauty of the legendary bird.

a month agoGreat discovery last night with a friend. Clean and warm room at the same time. Excellent service. An incredible culinary discovery with fresh, quality dishes. From the appetizer to the sweet treat, a real treat. Enough to make you want to come back on a Saturday evening to share the chef's menu. 2nd time at the Flameron this evening with my daughter: excellent. Really a nice address. See you soon to discover new flavors. Thank you for the kind attention for the velouté Jerusalem artichoke/vanilla, this appetizer is great. Dinner on March 29: a marvel. Divine marriage of flavors, presentation, dishes, location and service, the best restaurant in Rouen.

2 months agoGood evening, we had a pleasant evening. The dishes were original and tasty. Well presented as can be seen in the photos. Only one downside about the cheeses which didn't work for both of us.

2 months agoVery nice discovery a few months ago: original and sought-after flavors for a fair price! I will definitely go back to try the tasting menu on Saturday evening. The restaurant is small, so remember to make a reservation. Possibility of being on the terrace.

6 months agoGreat restaurant! Dishes that are both traditional and original with unexpected flavors. Food and wine pairings at good value for money and well chosen in relation to the dishes. The desserts are also excellent. Don't miss out! Special mention for the service. Our waitress was friendly and her cocktails were perfectly made :) Few tables so it's not bad to reserve!
